520 ## - ABSTRACT
Abstract The model of restorative resilience supervision presented in this book was first developed in response to the emotional demands of midwives, doctors and nurses caring for families who had experienced miscarriage and stillbirth. It was designed to support professionals in processing their traumatic workplace experiences, and in building resilience levels to ensure they had future coping strategies beyond the initial life of the supervision sessions. The programme has since evolved from direct training by a clinical psychologist into a range of professionals being trained to deliver the sessions themselves, and has been delivered to more than 4,500 individuals.<br/>The Restorative Resilience Model of Supervision will introduce anyone with supervisory responsibilities to restorative resilience, and give them an in-depth understanding of the approach that allows them to begin using its methods with those they work with. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical principles and research background to the approach, and explores how to put it into action on an individual level, equipping you with all you need to start using the model within your daily practice.
