Summary: On this film four classical cases in adults of valvular heart disease are presented, and their physical signs demonstrated. They are: pure mitral stenosis; mitral valve prolapse; mixed mitral valve disease with aortic regurgitation; and cor pulmonale with tricuspid reguritation. Each case presentation is followed by a brief relevant discussion. This and the preceding film together provide an excellent introduction to the diagnosis of such cardiac disorders, with the sounds well recorded.
