Summary: The aim of this dissertation is to identify the factors affecting the acceptance of a stoma in cancer patients. In particular to ascertain whether cancer patients have an increased difficulty due to the diagnosis of cancer compared to patients undergoing stoma formation for non-cancerous diagnosis.
