The report was commissioned jointlyby The Health Foundation and the Nuffield Trust. The research team was ledby Nicholas Mays at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.The research looks at how the four national health systems compare andhow they have performed in terms of quality and productivity before andafter devolution. The research also examines performance in North EastEngland, which is acknowledged to be the region that is most comparableto Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in terms of socioeconomic andother indicators.
