Summary: Numbers of the elderly and people with disabilities in our society are growing. Technological solutions have an increasingly important role in supporting this group of individuals in their daily life, to ensure both independence and adequate care. For this reason the 11th European Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE) focuses on the following topic: 'Everyday Technology for Independence and Care'.
