Summary: Our Staff Support Team are proud to share with you Recipes of Life - a book they have put together thoughtfully filled with recipes from fellow staff members for you to indulge in and enjoy. Each recipe tells a meaningful story, celebrates the multicultural diversity within our Trust, and serves as a reminder to embrace our different backgrounds. From celebrating successes to supporting one another through difficult times, food is a powerful source of connection and celebration at the Trust. The South London and Maudsley Trust Staff Support Team honours the diverse stories of our workforce in a language that is common to us all: food. This feels especially important in the 75th anniversary year of both the birth of the NHS and the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush to the shores of England - events which have shaped our lives and the communities we serve today. Recipes of Life takes us all over the globe, featuring recipes from: Jamaica, Argentina, Scotland, Sri Lanka, Wales, South Africa, England, Nigeria, France, Columbia, Vietnam, Trinidad, Indonesia, India, Italy, Pakistan, and Thailand. Each contributor has also added to a shared recipe for health and happiness, inspiring greater wellbeing, resilience, and collectivism. Recipes are supplied by various members of staff. Profusely illustrated in colour.
