Lipid disorders are now recognised as a diverse group of diseases that together represent one of the foremost risk factors for cardiovascular disease in general. Frequently present in association with other chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity, lipid disorders are a key therapeutic target for clinicians.
