After having an operation and a six week course of chemotherapy she decides not to undergo any more treatment, but rather to spend the rest of her life with her family without the horrible side-effects from the cancer treatments. Liz Milsom is 59 and suffers from ovarian cancer. She had a year and a half of chemotherapy which left her feeling very ill. Doctors estimate that all the chemotherapy she had extended her life by just six months. Finally Nora Edwards also has ovarian cancer, she is 78. Ten months after having had a course of chemotherapy, Nora's cancer returns and she has to decide whether to undergo another, stronger, course of treatment. Professor Karol Sikora, cancer specialist from Hammersmith Hospital contributes. Directed and produced by Alice Yglesias. Series producer: Anne Moir. | ||
